- Super Size Me--Ever seen this movie? Morgan Spurlock does a great job documenting his health's decline as he eats food exclusively from McDonald's for one month. Viewers witness the agony he puts his body through as he eats one meal after another. Yes, I've known people that weren't bothered by the film at all, but anyone concerned about his health will really think long and hard while watching this film. I vowed never to eat at Mickey D's again after watching the film (and I wound up eating there a couple more times anyway!!!).
- Fast Food Nation--No, not the crappy movie with Greg Kinnear. The awesome book by Eric Schlosser (the movie was loosely based on his book but really didn't do the book justice, in my opinion). Schlosser spares no detail telling readers about the meat-packing industry and what's done to our food to make it palatable and--dare I say?--addictive, appealing, and hard to say no to. His book was a huge nail in my meat-eating coffin.
